SAME DREAMS
I visited a Greek Island with my girlfriend and we both had the same strange dream about looking up to see that half the ceiling of the hotel room was missing. I remembered my dream for many years after the relationship ended. More recently, I went to the same Greek Island with my new partner.
This time I dreamed about being chased by a snake. It was slithering up the stairs in a strange house. I ran up the stairs and saw four bedroom doors. I hid behind one and watched the snake come to the top of the stairs and move its head from side to side as it looked for me. I was very scared I knew if it got me that would be the end for me.
My reaction was to grab a can of what looked like hair spray from a nearby table and batter it. The snake was then still. I looked closely and realised its head had been severed after I had beaten it with the can. I had killed it!
The following morning I explained this dream over breakfast to my girlfriend. She then looked at me in amazement explaining she too had this dream explaining her snake was short and fat (while mine was long and slim). I was to break up with this girlfriend too at a later date.

Snakes were symbols of prophecy to the ancient Greeks. If a person wanted to now the future, they were to sleep in the Temple with a yellow non-poisonous snake.
During the night, Hypnos, the god of sleep, would send his sons to you with a special dreams that would foretell the future. Both your dreams foretold the ending of the relationships. In the first something was missing- symbolised by the ceiling.
